Diego P. Roldan has a PhD in Humanities and Arts from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (2009) in Argentina. He is now Associate Professor of Space and Society at the same university. In general terms, his research is related to urban studies and urban history. He has concentrated on the problems of urban space configuration in the first half of the twentieth century and has studied the relationships of urban segregation, differential production of identities and territorial stigmatization. Currently, Diego analyzes the processes of urban re-qualification proposed by the strategic plans developed and disseminated in the last two decades by local governments. He is also conducting parallel research that examines the production of the marginal and stigmatized spaces in the Argentineans cities.
